Bloody Hell - The Sequel
Phew! What a couple of days. As in my previous post, all my data for the last couple of months had been lost. I tried to get this fixed by my hosting company, but according to them, the entire hard disk had been damaged and so all backups had been lost. All my hard work in writing those posts since November seemed to have been wasted.
But that wasn’t the case. Thanks to Google, Yahoo and Live search I was able to retrieve 99% of my posts using the “cached” feature of these search engines. The only disappointment is that all the comments/discussion has been lost for these posts. Also all members that registered since 1st November 2007 upto 21st January 2008 don’t exist in the database. Please register once again. This has been a learning experience for me: to make regular backups on my own hard disk.
All my posts have been restored back. All links should be working fine, except for a couple of posts that I was unable to retrieve anywhere. Everything seems to be back to normal. Thank you all for your patience.

Yes it was really frustrating to lose all the posts from over 2 months. Now that everything is back to normal, I have scheduled my hosting company to setup automatic backups to be emailed to me. Hopefully this disaster will not be repeated again.

It’s good to see that everything has moved back to original. It would have been very frustrating couple of days for you.
