Pool Cues

Ok, so I like to play Pool and Billiards. Yeah I suck at it, but its not the result that matters. I play it because I enjoy it. Then there are those who are really good at the game. They would spend a lot of money on pool cues. For them, I have found a cool website that offers awesome deals. Its called Pooldawg.com.
With same day shipping, free shipping on orders over $75, a massive 60 day money-back guarantee, this is a terrific website for any Pool/Billiard player. Easily navigable, all supplies are sorted in their relevant categories and you can also search by price range.

I also liked the Pool and Billiards Instruction page that has a lot of information for any new or experienced player. There is another page on Maintainence Tips which can be quite handy as well, especially for novice players.

The website is signed by Verisign for security and has a daily scan by McAfee, so you can be rest assuered that they are tight about providing a safe and secure shopping environment. Payment can be by Visa, Mastercard, Discover, Amex or Paypal. You can also order offline by calling 866-843-3294. Shipping is available worldwide and they provide a shipping calculator to check how much it would cost for different countries. I quite liked the Team page with South Park characters.

I would definitely recommend this website to all Pool/Billiards players to atleast have a look for any great deals.

Australia in India, 2008 - The Wildcards (Part 1)

Posted September 29th, 2008 by Nanda Comments Off

In an explosive Test series like this one, there are always going to be the favourites whom you would depend on getting a mountain of runs or getting bucket loads of wickets. However, I have decided to have a look at the wildcards from both the squads.

Peter Siddle - > Australia -> Fast Bowler

At just 23 years old, Peter Siddle is a future prospect for Australia. In the previous domestic season, he 33 wickets from 5 matches at a measly 15.75 runs a scalp. Siddle maintains that he wants to bowl like Donald whilst maintaining the accuracy of a McGrath. Combine these two qualities, and you have a lethal bowler capable of ripping through the best of attacks in the worst of conditions.

Australia in India, 2008 - Face your demons

Ricky Ponting’s previous record in India is a disaster for the Aussie. Ponting has scored a meagre 172 runs from 8 matches at a pathetic average of 12.28 with his best score being 60. His career average is at a terrific 58.37 from 119 matches. Yes, it is safe to say that he is the weakest link in this inexperienced Australian batting line-up. A lot is going to depend on him and Matthew Hayden during the 4 match series.

Bangla trouble

10 Bangladeshis want to sign up to the rebel ICL tournament. BCCI is not happy. Bangladesh Cricket Board bans these players for 10 years. What does ICC do? NOTHING. As expected. The ICC needs to make it clear that this is not tolerable. If every player decides to start playing in every other unofficial league, then there will be total chaos in the sport.

BCCI may be considered as a monolith, but atleast it is trying to keep things under control. Yes, there are arguments with that statement. Too much control is bad. But no control is even worse. ICC is no longer relevant these days as can be seen by the actions of teams who decided not to go to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy, or the recent decision by the Sri Lankan Cricket Board that allows ICL players to play for their domestic teams.

So what should ICC do in this case? The most logical step is to ban ICL and any other non-official league. Send out a strong signal that any ICL related player will be banned from participating in any official match/tournament.
