Ganguly Strikes

The Come-back man finally gets a game an d proves why his worth straightaway. Ganguly got to play against Deccan Chargers in their home-away-from-home ground and was into the groove as if this was just another day. He played Steyn extremely well and then used all his experience to guide his team home. The fact that he was unbeaten is just another footnote.

Geoff Marsh, coach of Pune Warriors, had this to say:

It is great to see Sourav get runs here. He was very nervous going into the match but did well to show that he has the ability to win matches. His love and passion for the game is still very much alive.

Ganguly got a massive ovation when he came into bat. Just goes to show that the wily fox is still quite popular in India. Here is an instance of his fan following:

A youth managed to reach the middle of the pitch and tried to touch the feet of Ganguly and it took security personnel some time before they could react and pull away the fan.

UPDATE:

Ganguly catapulted to status of a wonder:

Being a Ganguly fan means being part of an unpredictable emotional journey. You never know what will come your way on a particular day. Nobody else has the power to enthrall and exasperate like him.

His fans understand the wonder of Sourav Ganguly.
