Gayle-storm hits Western Front

So it was Kolkatta’s turn to face the nightmare. Defending a below-par target, there was not a lot they could do facing a brutal onslaught from Gayle. Although, he rode his chances, Chris Gayle was once again unstoppable. His cameo ensured that even though the match went to the last wire, his team were alway going to win it.

Title-contenders Mumbai Indians, Chennai Super Kings and Kolkatta Knight Riders need to find a gameplan for this marauder as he is in an unbelievable zone at the moment. Chris Gayle has played 7 matches in this IPL so far. RCB have WON ALL THOSE MATCHES. In their previous match he smashed an unbeaten century to start his run of good form, well outstanding form. It takes a person of exceptional talent to be this consistent in Twenty 20 cricket. Chris Gayle has sent a minder to everyone now.

Coming back to stats, RCB now need to beat Chennai Super Kings in their final match before the play-offs begin. If they can do that, then the level of confidence in this team will be sky-high. They will believe in themselves to go for the win. Despite a disastrous first year in the IPL, RCB have come back tremendously. They are not one of the 3 most consistent teams in IPL, the others being Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings.

This year, though, all credit goes to Chris Gayle and the manner in which he has been demolishing opposition attacks.
