Twenty20 World Cup, India vs England, Group E

I am still in shock and disbelief after yesterday night, partly to do with sleeping for only 4 hours and more so due to that one over from Yuvraj Singh and the quickest fifty in an international. India came into this match with a do or die situation. Had they lost this match, they could have been kicked out of the tournament. They won instead and live to fight another day.
This tournament was all about second chances for some people looking to make it back into the squad. Most prominent among them are Virender Sehwag, Harbhajan Singh and Irfan Pathan. All three had been dropped/axed a few months ago due to poor or indifferent form. All three went about their own individual ways of mending their shattered confidence and lack of form.
Sehwag went back to his school ground and played a lot of club cricket. Pathan went back to the MRF pace academy. And Harbhajan was playing county for Sussex. They say form is temporary but class is permanent. Nothing could justify that than the return to form of these three. The result has been near instantaneous. While Harbhajan and Pathan have been recalled back to the Indian ODI squad, it’s not too long to see Sehwag getting his call as well.
