Dravid and Kumble are not amongst India’s greatest - Prasanna

Both Rahul Dravid and Anil Kumble have failed to make it to the list of all-time great test players of India in a recently released list celebrating the country’s 75 year anniversary of Test cricket. This news certainly raised my eyebrows as here we have the best Test batsman and the best Test bowler both missing out. According to a group of “elite” panelists, here is the all time greatest Indian test team:

Sunil Gavaskar (captain), Vinoo Mankad, Vijay Hazare (vice-captain), Sachin Tendulkar, Mohammed Azharuddin, G R Vishwanath, Kapil Dev, Syed Kirmani (wk), Javagal Srinath, EAS Prasanna, Subash Gupte. 12th Man: Vijay Manjrekar.

Reserves: Mohammed Nissar, B S Chandrasekhar, Rahul Dravid.
