South African Mike Proctor will be the Match Referee for the Test series between India and Australia. Mark Benson and Billy Bowden will be the umpires for the Melbourne Test starting Dec 26. Steve Bucknor will join Benson for the second Test in Sydney on Jan 2. Bucknor and Asad Ruaf will then take over the third Test in Perth from Jan 16 and Rauf will be joined by Bowden for the final Test match in Adelaide Jan 24.

The sale of tickets for the second ODI cricket match between India and Pakistan here on November 8 would commence on November 1, the Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) said here on Monday.

The tickets have been priced in four denominations of Rs 300 for General Block, Rs 1,000 for the VIP Block, Rs 5,000 for thtickets have been priced in four denominations of Rs 300 for General Block, Rs 1,000 for the VIP Block, Rs 5,000 for the Terrace Block and Rs 10,000 for the air-conditioned lounge, PCA Treasurer G S Walia said in a statement.

The sale of tickets would be done through different branches of HDFC Bank while the high denomination tickets of Rs 1,000 and above would also be sold at the special counters to be set up at the stadium.

Its just the usual suspects these days, and for a high profile series like this, the ICC has relied on its best test umpires: Simon Taufel, Steve Bucknor and Ian Howell. All three will be umpiring for 2 matches each. As for the one day series, it will be Billy Doctrove (first three matches) and Aleem Dar (remaining four matches). The home umpires have not yet been announced. Two Sri Lankans will be the match referees for the entire tour: Ranjan Madugalle for the tests and Roshan Mahanama for the one-dayers.
