India make it 3 in a row all thanks to Duckworth/Lewis system. England batted first and scored 240 all out. Ravi Bopara was the top scorer with 60. For India Harbhajan Singh took 3 wickets and 2 each to Ishant and Munaf. India scored 198/5 from 40 overs before bad light stopped play. India were ahead as per the D/L caluclation and won the match by 16 runs. Virender Sehwag was the top scorer for India. Man of the match awarded to Harbhajan Singh.

Watch the full highlights of India vs England 1st ODI. Yuvraj smashed an unbeaten century. Sehwag and Gambhir got India to a flying start. Then Zaheer and Munaf bowled a terrific opening spell to get 4 England wickets before they could score 50. Hugely convincing and a completely one-sided game.

Excellent fight back by Australia in the second session as the morning session belonged to Virender Sehwag. Dhoni and Bhajji saved India some blushes with what could be a match-saving partnership. Ricky Ponting lost the plot after tea when he brought on part-time spinners instead of Watson who had bowled superbly. Australia finished the day needing 369 to win the fourth test and draw the series.

Sourav Ganguly playing his last test almost pulled it off – a hundred on debut and in his final test. All morning he’d played Krejza quite well, stepping out and all. But around the 80 run mark he began to take it easy and slow and in a way that cost him. Dhoni came out after lunch looking to attack but was out soon after his 50 and Krejza went on to have a hat-trick situation with two beautiful deliveries to Zaheer Khan and Amit Mishra.
